Self-directed support

Self Directed Support

Self-directed support allows you to take control and decide how your support is organised and delivered.

Why choose us?

We're experienced at providing high-quality specialist support - and you can depend on us to provide the service you want. We'll work closely with you and your family so you can overcome difficulties and enjoy your life. From a few hours a week to 24-hour support, we'll work together to deliver a support package to suit you.

Managing and co-ordinating your support

You might not have the time or expertise to organise your support and coordinate the arrangements.  You might want to get services from several different people and need independent support in managing these arrangements.

We can make things easier for you and your family by:

  • Supporting you with recruiting staff or buying services from agencies
  • Dealing with unanticipated changes
  • Finding solutions to gaps in support
  • Ensuring support is scheduled when and how needed
  • Providing management, supervision and training to your employed support staff
  • Dealing with employee relations at times of difficulty or conflict
  • Liaising with others regarding your arrangements
  • Keeping necessary records.

What to expect

We will respond to your initial contact within three working days. We'll provide you with clear information on how your service will be delivered and how our costs are calculated.

We'll enter into a signed contract of agreement which details:

  • What you can expect from us
  • What we will do
  • What we are unable to do
  • What we will expect from you in working with us.

The contract will include a support agreement which details the exact nature of our role in your life. We'll review this agreement with you after 3 months and then at least every 6 months thereafter - unless you request a meeting sooner or your circumstances change.
